Develop a packaging solution that creates an element of surprise in a simple, affordable, and portable way. If the solution becomes a keepsake, versatile in its ability to hold different products, and hit a specific manufacturing cost… that’s a bonus!
Ideate/Brainstorm
After several sketches and prototypes, here is a strong concept, we initially explored. But this posed a few issues, cost and assembly being primary.

Test and Implementation
This solution slightly exceeded the desired price mark but the client felt this solution could replace a number of their boxing experience. The hidden drawer and pop up lid created a surprise and delight, that organically had customers open and shut the box several times. As you pull the handle, the “drawer” does something special.
